COMPASSION – LOVE THAT MOTIVATES ACTION

Compassion—the form of love so pungent that it forms a deep inner passion mixing love and sorrow in such a way that it begs, even demands a response.

Many of miracles of Jesus came when he responded to the compassion he had for the hurting. (Matthew 14:14)

And Jesus went out and saw a great crowd, and He was moved with compassion toward them. And He healed their sick. (Mt 14:14, MKJV)

God’s compassion Leads Him To Forgive Us. The Bible describes God not only as being a compassionate God but as being full of compassion, whose compassions are new every morning and never fail.

But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and merciful God. You are patient, always faithful and ready to forgive. (Ps 86:15, GW)

But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: yes, many a time he turned his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath. (Ps 78:38, Webster)

Through the LORD's mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. (Lam 3:22-23, NKJV)
